An Urgent Appeal: Dock Advocacy!
Dear CBI members, friends, and supporters,I am writing to request that you write a letter or email to Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, requesting that he take immediate steps to find funding options for the CBI dock replacement. I have written a sample letter which you may copy verbatim, use in part or whole, or use as a model to compose your own letter. (The letter is also available in Microsoft Word format.) Fill out the form and then cut and paste your letter into the "comments" field. If you are having any technical difficulties with this process please contact me right away. If you use the sample letter I have provided don't forget to add your name to the signature.
We have been working hard to advocate for this project over many years and it is close but still too far away for any comfort. The DCR's budget plans call for the project to happen in 2014. The docks absolutely will not make it until then. We need to bring this issue up to the Governor in the most direct way possible. In addition to writing an email, hard copy letters, and even phone calls to Governor Patrick are valuable. Please write Governor Patrick directly to let him know that you want the docks fixed.
